The bottleneck

The pour is scheduled, but there aren’t enough iron workers to meet the schedule.

Tying rebar intersections is one of the slowest tasks on concrete work. A bridge or commercial pour may need 4–6 workers to place steel — and often twice that many just to tie it.

Handheld guns help, but only if you have the people to use them. Productivity per worker has gone up with tie guns, but the number of available workers has not.

01 / Manual

4,500 ties / day

Tie wire and pliers. Six labor days on a 28,800-tie reference job. $0.25 a tie.

02 / Handheld rebar gun

12,000 ties / day

Two labor days. Faster tying, but still the same labor shortages.

03 / Robot

28,800 ties / day · $0.17 a tie

One operator. One day. No gantry, no crane, no 40-foot trailer. The robot ties.

Our purpose

We build robots and cobots that help increase safety while expediting projects that would otherwise be dangerous or inefficient.

Current robots

On the deck now. On the bench next.

Tomorobo and the rebar roller are available today. Our semi-autonomous and autonomous tying robots are in the development phase.

How custom development works →

How it works

From truck to ties in one coffee.

01

Roll it on

Two people, or it breaks into pieces. Battery tracks. No combustion engine on the platform. No site prep.

02

See the nodes

Vision finds intersections at up to 20 feet and tells tied from untied before the jaws fire.

03

Pull the trigger

The end effector holds a production tie gun and 16-gauge wire your crews already stock.

04

Watch the pour clock

Remote monitoring, progress on the phone, one operator covering what used to take a full tying crew.

Adjust your project inputs to model an indicative savings range. Your custom quote will validate scope and deployment costs.

Monthly labor savings$14,256
Annualized savings$171,072
Productivity increase300%
Estimated payback6.5 mo

Illustrative estimate based on 22 working days per month and a 30% labor cost reduction. Actual outcomes vary by project.

Why crews keep it

Built for the real weather of a jobsite.

30% labor off the books

Cut tying labor while the remaining crew places steel, sets chairs, and hits the pour window.

Zero bent-back ties

Take people off repetitive kneeling. Target zero tying-related strains — the injuries that wreck EMR.

3× the calendar

Night shifts. Weekend mats. Consistent quality at 99.9% tie accuracy, rain or dust.

Battery-powered tying robots

No generator circus. Less fuel, less waste, fewer moving pieces between the trailer and the deck.

Guns you already own

MAX, Makita, BN Products compatible. We integrate motion and vision. We do not reinvent the tool.

Buy, lease, or RaaS

Direct purchase, rent-to-own, or hardware-as-a-service. Typical payback inside a handful of large pours.

“The rebar moving solution we implemented has proven to be highly effective. It enabled two of our workers to accomplish the work previously requiring six individuals. This resulted in freeing up four workers for other essential tasks… and mitigated trip and fall risks by simplifying the process to pushing the rebar.”

Before you book

Straight answers.

How fast can a crew run it?

Most operators are productive in 1–2 days. On-site training ships with the machine. The app carries the rest. 24/7 support after that.

What bar and wire does it take?

Standard 10–32 mm (#3–#10). 16-gauge tie wire, 200 ties per coil. Water-resistant jobsite kit — not waterproof. Uses the MAX, Makita, or BN gun your crew already stocks.

Will it replace a gantry robot?

On bridge decks a gantry can still make sense. Everywhere else — commercial mats, precast beds, plants, tight mobilizations — a tracked robot wins on cost, setup, and the jobs a gantry cannot enter.

Buy, lease, or rent?

All three. Tomorobo and the rebar roller are available now; ask us for a quote. Our semi-autonomous and autonomous tying robots are in development; join the pilot list for pricing. Many buyers use equipment-modernization incentives. We will run ROI on your actual tonnage before you sign.

What about service?

2-year warranty, extendable to 5. Inspection every 100 hours. Full service every 500 hours or 6 months, on-site or at a service center.
